Data Center Management Platform for Hardware, IT Operations and Business Services
Sensaka for Data Centers brings agentless out-of-band hardware monitoring, facility and energy monitoring, CMDB, ITSM and AIOps into one on-premises platform. Hardware faults are detected at the BMC layer (IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC, iLO, iBMC) across Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, Huawei, and Supermicro, the CMDB is filled from that discovery, and the AIOps module shows which business services are affected.
Because hardware monitoring never relies on an OS agent, it keeps watching server health, power, and cooling even when a host crashes, overheats, or loses power. Operations teams replace a sprawl of disconnected tools with one source of truth, from the rack to the service desk.
One Product. Three Modules.
Every layer of your data center in one platform: the physical foundation, the IT operations that run on it, and the business services that depend on both. Each module can be licensed on its own or combined.
Agentless Out-of-Band Monitoring for Physical Infrastructure
Most monitoring platforms rely on agents running inside the OS, which means they go silent when a server crashes, overheats, or loses power: at exactly the moment you need them most. The hardware monitoring module connects directly to each server's Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) using IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC, iLO, or iBMC, bypassing the OS entirely, to monitor hardware health, power, and thermal status across multi-vendor estates, including GPU chassis and bare-metal AI nodes.
The same module covers the facility around the servers: UPS, cooling units, and PDUs over Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP, plus network topology through SNMP and REST-based integrations. Every layer of your physical infrastructure, unified in a single pane of glass.
Facility monitoring (DCIM)
Monitor UPS, precision cooling, PDUs, server cabinets, temperature, humidity, smoke, and water leakage from a single console. Chain of custody for every asset. Centralised alerting before facilities fail.
Out-of-band hardware monitoring
Resource utilisation, capacity analysis, performance trending, SAN topology: monitored at the BMC layer via IPMI, iDRAC, iLO and Redfish. See what your servers are doing even when the OS can't tell you.
Network and storage visibility
Network topology mapping, traffic analysis, IP management, access control, configuration backup, and dedicated line management: fully integrated, not bolted on as a separate tool.
Server auto-deployment
Template management, PXE boot, automated OS installation, media management, deployment policy enforcement, and full installation logging. Bare-metal to production in minutes.
Energy monitoring
Real-time energy monitoring, efficiency analysis, PUE tracking, and consumption forecasting: designed to support EU Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) reporting requirements out of the box.

Configuration. Service Workflows. Automation. Connected.
Your CMDB is out of date the moment someone provisions a new VM. Your incident tickets don't know what changed. Your automation scripts live on someone's laptop. And when something breaks at 2am, your team spends the first hour just figuring out what is connected to what.
The CMDB and ITSM module unifies configuration management, IT service workflows, software monitoring and operations automation. Where the hardware module manages the physical infrastructure, this module manages everything running on top of it: virtual machines, cloud resources, software services, middleware, containers, databases, and the people-and-process layer that keeps them running.
Because the configuration data is grounded in real hardware discovery rather than manually entered assumptions, a physical alert arrives with its context. When a server triggers an alert, the CMDB already knows:
- Which VMs are running on that server
- Which services those VMs support
- Which incidents are open against those services
- Which change was deployed 20 minutes ago
Configuration database
Finally, a configuration database that stays accurate.
- CI management and resource inventory
- Relationship mapping and dependency tracking
- Topology views across physical and virtual layers
- Auto-discovery to keep data current
IT service management
IT service management that actually reflects how your infrastructure works.
- Incident management: detect, assign, resolve, close
- Problem management: find root cause, not just symptoms
- Change management: assess impact before you touch anything
- Release management: controlled rollout with full audit trail
- SLA management: track commitments, escalate automatically
- Knowledge base: capture resolutions, stop solving the same problem twice
- Service catalog: self-service request management
Software and cloud monitoring
Runtime availability and performance above the hardware.
- Cloud resources and virtual machines
- Operating systems, databases and middleware
- Containers, processes and services
- URLs and dial testing
Operations automation
Stop doing manually what a machine can do reliably.
- Workflow orchestration: build complex multi-step automation visually
- Script management: centralize, version, and govern all automation scripts
- Automated task execution: scheduled or event-triggered
- Alert-to-ticket automation from hardware and software monitoring
| Feature | Siloed Tools | Sensaka |
|---|---|---|
| CMDB accuracy | Manual, always stale | Auto-discovered, continuously updated |
| Incident context | Ticket + memory | Ticket + full CI topology |
| Change risk assessment | Gut feel | Dependency-mapped impact analysis |
| Automation | Scripts on laptops | Centralized, governed, auditable |
| Hardware ↔ software correlation | Not available | Native, from the hardware monitoring module |
Map Infrastructure Events to Business Service Risk
The AIOps module correlates events across the stack, reduces alert noise, and shows operations teams which business services are affected when infrastructure degrades, so response is driven by impact instead of raw alarms. It uses physical facts from the hardware module plus software, process, and relationship context from the CMDB to explain business health in language operations teams can act on.

Full-stack coverage behind the business view
Go deeper: AI operations, business service management, AIOps use cases, and what is AIOps.
Maintenance becomes a closed loop.
Signals do not stop at dashboards. Sensaka turns infrastructure facts into service impact, workflow, remediation, and verified recovery.
Hardware monitoring sees the physical risk first.
Out-of-band telemetry catches power, BMC, fan, temperature, link, storage, and rack-space exceptions even when the OS or production network is unavailable.
The CMDB maps the operational surface.
CMDB relationships, ITSM records, VM topology, databases, middleware, containers, services, URLs, and automation history explain what the signal touches.
AIOps finds the business impact.
Business topology links the affected dependency to the critical services that depend on it, then AI-assisted root cause analysis narrows the likely cause.
Action is routed, automated, and verified.
Runbooks, scripts, workflow orchestration, service desk routing, and self-healing tasks reduce repair time while preserving governance and audit trails.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sensaka for Data Centers?
Sensaka for Data Centers is a data center management platform with three modules: hardware and facility monitoring (agentless out-of-band monitoring through the BMC, network and storage, power, cooling and energy), CMDB and ITSM (configuration database, service desk, software and cloud monitoring, automation), and AIOps and business service management (alert correlation, root cause analysis and business impact). It is deployed on-premises.
How is out-of-band monitoring different from agent-based monitoring?
Agent-based monitoring relies on software running inside the OS. When a server crashes or loses power, those agents go offline and the fault stays invisible until someone notices. Sensaka's hardware monitoring module reads the BMC layer, which operates independently of the OS, so it detects and alerts on hardware faults in seconds even when the server is completely unresponsive.
Does Sensaka require installing agents on monitored servers?
Not for hardware monitoring. The hardware monitoring module is agentless: it communicates directly with each server's BMC over the out-of-band management network using IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC, iLO, or iBMC. There is no software to install on the monitored host, no OS-level credentials required, and no agent to maintain.
What protocols does the hardware monitoring module support?
IPMI, Redfish, iDRAC (Dell), iLO (HPE), iBMC (Huawei), and SNMP for server-level out-of-band monitoring. For facility infrastructure: UPS, cooling units, and PDUs: it connects via Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP. Network topology is covered through SNMP and REST-based integrations.
Can we start with one module?
Yes. Each module can be licensed on its own. Many teams start with hardware and facility monitoring, then add CMDB and ITSM when they need one configuration record and service desk, and add AIOps at any stage. When both the hardware and the CMDB modules run, Sensaka Sync fills the CMDB from physical discovery and routes hardware alerts into ITSM tickets.
How much does Sensaka for Data Centers cost?
Pricing starts at $130 per node per year for the DCIM layer and $210 per node per year for ITOM hardware monitoring, which adds out-of-band server monitoring via BMC, IPMI, iDRAC, iLO, and Redfish. Facility modules use a flat per-facility fee, ITSM is priced per agent, and AIOps is a platform licence. Volume pricing is available for large multi-site deployments; the full model is on the pricing page.
